~ Why do I become so invested in soap operas. I mean. General Hospital has got a story line going on right now that I so don't know why I am so involved.. but yeah. Soaps...

~ Do you have the same body temp as the "average" person? My average body temp runs about 97.4... I've had a 98.6 temp for the last couple of weeks. so I've been running a low grade fever. I guess it's time to call my doctor.

~ cheez-it adverts make me laugh.

~ why are some adverts so stupid? I just want to choke the guy on the new bounty one, where the guy is making latte's with his wife and he puts the steam on the cup. yeah. YOU DON'T MAKE THEM THAT WAY!!!

~ Judge shows make me laugh. The People's Court and Judge Judy especially. *grins*

~ I wish it would rain.

~ I LOVE my new knitting board! It is one of the best things EVER invented! I am abel to do knitting projects and not use my left hand when my wrist hurts!... LOVE IT!

~ Sporcle Games is a lot of fun!

School Days!

The kids started their first day at their new school last week. Everyone was excited to go back.

Ian started 3rd grade and is in the same class as his cousin Gavin.

Alene started 2nd grade.

Ashley started kindergarten this year. She's so excited!

Okay. I get easily distracted. I mean I will start one thing and something else with catch my eye, and I'll be totally off in a different direction and not remember where I just was.

Movies or whatever is on TV

whomever I may be chatting with on adium or Skype

I know there are many, many more... but this is just a few things right now.

A Food Network Day...

It has been a rainy humid day... So, it's been a me in bed tired and sore day.

I don't think my television has really left Food Network the past few days.

I have a few new shows that I haven't watched before that I have really enjoyed.

Chef vs. City. I like Chef Aaron Sanchez and its fun watching these two guys run around a city going up against locals as they are trying to finish their tasks.

Chopped. Yeah. It's like Top Chef in an hour... with 4 people. and yeah. cool show.

Right now I'm watching one of my favorites, Iron Chef America. Yeah. Morimoto ROQS!

Bacon is good for me...

Thursday Favorites: Crystal Rock Candy

Do you remember this stuff. You know the candy that was on a string, or on a stick, that looks like crystal rocks that come in a variety of colours, and you eat it, and it's pure sugar, and it's sooo yummy?

Yeah. I'm addicted to the stuff right now. Erin bought some a few weeks ago while she was here, and I swear I ate half the bag. Then while we were in San Diego (yeah I know.. haven't blogged about the trip) I bought some there.

What I need to do is make some of my own.

Hm... Maybe that's a good project with the kids. Make our own pure sugar. *Grins*






Pure sugar that makes me feel like I need to brush my teeth shortly after I've finished eating it...

*grrr*

The time has almost past and I almost didnt' make it.

Today's post is on how much my dog is going to be in trouble for the next few months.

She ate my good earphone. The good ones that were regular price $59.99 that I got for $29.99.

yeah. those ones. While talking with the bishopric in the living room my dog ate my earphones.

she's in sooooo much trouble. Very lucky she's even in bed tonight.

This is not a beautiful thing.

Another Month...

I'm so bad at this, but I'm going to try it again. I AM GOING TO COMPLETE A MONTH!

Thursday Favorites

I missed her the last 6 days. It was nice to be on vacation and not have to worry about the dog staying in the motel room all day and not having to walk her and what not. But as she lays sleeping next to me right now I realized how much I missed this. Just sitting somewhere with her right next to me under a blanket.

Today my favorite thing is my dog. She makes me happy.

My Random Thoughts...

~ $3.00 cupcakes are pretty... and taste good. But shouldn't cost $3.00.

~ Petco Park is a pretty field. All green and striped and yeah. Really had a nice time at the game with my Dad. Even if the Padres sucked and the cubs hit like 3 home runs.

~ There is a player on the cubs team named Milton Bradley. He's a right fielder... COME ON! please people. Think about the teasing your child will have to go thru in school.

~ If your not feeling sick to your stomach a ride on the San Diego "trolley" will get you there fast.

~ Even Cubs fans don't like their own players... (the fans in right field where we were sitting were raggin' on Milton Bradley)

~Indian food is yum!

Manic Monday....

We've had a busy weekend, and a busy Monday, and we'll have a busy Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday as well. If you didn't know i'm on holiday right now in San Diego, and I'm exhausted. I can't seem to keep my eyes open. But I'm having so much fun. We're doing things I have never done before.

Saturday we went to the San Diego Maritime Museum
Sunday we went to tour the USS Midway
Today we went to the Air/Space Museum, the Aquarium in La Jolla, and then a beach in La Jolla.

Don't worry, full details and pictures will follow. Tomorrow we plan on going to Sea World, so I want to get lots of rest.

Wednesday evening Dad and I are going to a Padres game. I intend to be in full Raptor Gear. *grins* jersey, hat and all... I'm excited to go to my 4th major league stadium. Thursday we head home.

Home will be good. I am missing my dog who is on her own holiday at the Kimbur Pet Wash & Suites.

Saturday Sweets...

Okay... so i'm cheating... but today's Saturday Sweets is going to be a post of something sweet, and spicy, that I'm addicted to at the moment.

Cinnamon Altoids... The kids haven't been around since I bought them, but I'm sure they would ask for the "spicy" candies. At least that is what they call my cinnamon flavored gum.

I can't stop munching on them. they make my breath smell yummy and I yeah... yummy...

Lils decided to be cute today and spoke to mom to ask her to let her out. We were ignoring her cause she just wanted to go out to chase lizards. But she does this little ar, ar, ar thing when you ask her to speak to get a treat... and she did that... and it was so cute and yeah. I love my lils.

Tuesday Tunes: I Just Love You

Five for Fighting is the stage name for American Singer-Songwriter Jon Ondrasik. This is something that I actually never knew. I've listened to his music before and Love the song's Superman and 100 years but i never really paid attention to the artist.

It wasn't until just a few weeks ago when I downloaded a bunch of Adam Lambert songs and I found a cover song that he did. A song called I Just Love You that I really fell in love. I listened to his version over, and over, and over again. Then I finally looked up who the actual singer of the song was, and found out that it was Five for Fighting and that the song was released on his 2007 album Two Lights. I never knew that. Well I went right out and downloaded the album, and now I've listened to it over, and over, and over again. The whole album is great, but this is still one of my favorite songs.
