First off, who doesn't love a good musical?

The film adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical. Ms. Dolly Levi, a New York-based matchmaker who merrily arranges things... like furniture and daffodils and lives. A widow, she takes a trip to Yonkers, New York to see the "well-known unmarried half-a-millionaire," Horace Vandergelder. He is in want of a wife. So she proceeds to weave a web of romantic complications involving him, his two clerks, a pretty milliner and her assistant, and his niece and her beau. In the process she has found herself in love

Directed by Gene Kelly. Staring Barbra Streisand, and one of my my personal favorites Walter Matthau. Then OMG one of the loves of my life, the Phantom himself, Michael Crawford.

Truly is the BEST MOVIE EVER!

Mirrors {Musical Mondays}

When his first solo album came out I was a closet JT fan. He was my guilty pleasure. I wasn't sharing this with anyone... Then I found out that some friends of mine were also closet JT fans. I still text Cathy  Senorita lyrics.

Second album came out, and I came out of the closet! Especially when my little nephew would dance around to Sexyback. He was such an adorable 5 year old!

Third album, I had a countdown on my phone. I was so excited to watch him on the Grammy's. Suit & Tie was great. Listened to it over and over again... Mirrors comes out, and I'm in love.

I LOVE this song, and then I read this article about how the video is a celebration of his grandparents love, hence the dedication to William and Sadie at the beginning. Deeper and deeper in love I fell.

Coffee & Crochet

Twice a month I have a fun little group I meet with. I was introduced to them by my friend Audre.

Me and Audre

We meet at Paradise Bakery, find a few tables together (sometimes this is quite a chore when it's busy),
get something to eat and drink, sit and crochet/knit and talk for hours.

a project I started at Coffee & Crochet, and finished at home.

It is great fun, and I have met some sweet, sweet ladies.

And even get some free yarn, or crochet magazines from whomever is giving their stuff away!

I turned this lovely yarn from Brooke into a hat for Kennadee! 

I'm even comfortable enough to go without Audre now. It's hard for me to meet new people, but if someone is with me I don't have a problem. Well they aren't new anymore. They are becoming great friends.

Better Oats Oatmeal {Favorite Things}

I'm going to start something new... 

I'm going to start a Favorite Things post. 

I don't know how often I'll do it. Maybe it will just be when I found something new that has become on of my favorite things, and I HAVE to tell the world about it. 

Today's Favorite Thing

Better Oats Oatmeal is seriously the best instant oatmeal that I have ever eaten! 

100% Whole Grain Oats

Flax Seeds

The flavors are WONDERFUL!

I've had three of the 23 different varieties, and have loved all three.

Blueberry Muffin tastes like a blueberry muffin! 

Cinnamon Roll tastes like a fresh hot cinnamon roll.

And the packaging! OH SO SLIM! Not a huge box taking up lots of room in your kitchen.

Also, you only need a bowl and a spoon to make it. The packaging is used as the measuring device. No getting out a measuring cup to make it.

It has become a staple in our house. I hope it becomes one in your's.

The Weekly Round-Up

Okay, so when I originally started this post it was LAST week... so one, or maybe 2 of the posts here may be 2 weeks old, instead of 1... But *shrugs* that's just how I roll.

• My little cousin, who is not so little anymore, has a great blog called The New World Adventure. She wrote the most incredible post about bullying the other day. It is a must read for everyone! definitely beautiful
• Sweet little Nina wrote a great post over at MAYBEITSMYADD about a messy room.  She's way to smart for her own good this one! The Messy Room
• Through my other blog, and business, Arizona Sunshine Girls I was nominate for the Liebster Award by Melanie at Van Wynsberg Nest. Right now it's all about baby! She's expecting a boy, and her and her hubs are getting the nursery all ready. Such a cute blog, and so much fun to see what people come up with for baby themes! This is one of my favorite tho!
• I really don't know how I found her, but another great blogger (Kristen from This Radient Life) made the CUTEST PSA for a friend/fellow blogger's birthday. Why is this my favorite post of the week? Because she posed a few of the PSA's from my childhood... you know Blair Underwood doing the STD thing, and the egg... you know. the egg... this is your brain, this is your brain on drugs. So yeah! GO READ! The More You Know...

A Friday on a Saturday...

As everyone has already found out, Google Reader is going caput, and we're all scrambling to find other ways to read/follow the blogs we love. 

So today (yes it is Saturday, but my days are soooo messed up right now I'm saying that today is Friday) I joined the BlogLovin' hop going on over at My Beautiful Crazy Life.

The Coolest Nephew Ever!!!

If you guys have been around here for the last few weeks you would have noticed that I changed things up a little around here. 

Yup... Sure have. I needed an update, and something fun. 

My super awesome nephew and nieces, here in Arizona, have been doing a little Doctor Who watching lately (see... coolest kids EVER). One day I got a text from My Buddy showing me a picture he had drawn (12 years old and becoming a very good artist).

This picture has become my header, until someone draws me something new. 

If you can't tell, that is a Shufflebot asking the Dalek to take him to his leader... 

I think it's pretty awesome!
