For a few years now I've been trying to pick a word for the year and live by that.

I've been thinking about it a lot the last few days. After Mom told me her word is Joy, and a friend of mine mentioned hers was Determination, I knew that Gratitude was going to be mine for the year.
I love this idea! Sure beats a list of resolutions that won't make it past the first quarter. Now I've got to figure out my word...
