I don't want a funeral. I'm told by some that it is inevitable, but I don't want one.
I want to be cremated, and I want my ashes to be thrown into the Ocean off Point Perpetua on the coast of Oregon. I want my family to go there and spend some time, and have a party. I want a celebration.
However, if there was a funeral... I would love this song to be played.
Barenaked Ladies make me happy. I love all their music, but when I hear this song I think of my babies... I don't know why.. maybe It's the chikety china, or the fact that all of them could sing it by the time they could talk.
Oh goodness... You mean I have to choose one. This isn't as easy as I thought it would be. I went looking thru my iTunes and I found lots of different albums that I love. Lots of favorites.
Augustana's Midwest Skies and Sleepless Monday's
Barenaked Ladies Rock Spectacle
Billy Joel River of Dreams
Cake Fashion Nugget
Dave Matthews Band Crash
Matchbox Twenty Mad Season
Oh goodness I could go on forever and ever and that's...
But I would have to say that my favorite album is one that my brother introduced to me years ago.
I don't listen to the radio much... If I do it's mostly FM Talk Radio. But when I do listen to music channels I hear this song on the radio all the time. And I do happen to love it...
When I was younger Starship's "Sara" was a popular song. Everywhere I went everyone would sing at me, "Sara, Sara storms are brewin in your eyes. Sara, Sara no time is a good time for goodbyes."
Oh my goodness how I hated that. Why couldn't they sing a good song, like "Sara Smile" by Hall & Oats or "Sara" by Fleetwood Mac... But noooo... All I got was Starship (even tho yesterday was a starship song)...
*giggles* I so know that this song doesn't "describe" me... but It's the best song ever made with my name!
I don't know how to answer this one. Everyone knows that I'm willing to try anything once, music wise at least. So me loving a song that no one would expect isn't going to happen.
So, today is going to be: A song from when you were a kid...
I remember getting my first tape/record player. I remember going shopping for Emalee's first records (it was a shared christmas gift [1985?]). She got Lionel Richie and Starship...
So, here's a song that I love from when I was a kid.
At one point in time Justin Timberlake was my guilty pleasure... but then so many of my friends loved him so I thought it was okay to love him out loud also.
I'm really having a problem thinking of a guilty pleasure song, let alone artist. *sigh* The only song I can really think of that I love that I probably shouldn't that much is the song on a commercial. Yes I said that right, I am in love with a song on a commercial. A song that was most likely written just for said commercial. It is the advertisement for San Diego tourism. It is a by The Mae Shi, or you can find it by The Anthems.
This one is really hard, because I don't think that I hate any band. I may dislike most of their music, but many, many bands have at least 1 song that I like to listen to.
So... today lets do: A song that gets in your head and won't leave...
Lately it has been Justin Bieber's Baby... I don't listen to the radio much, and I've only heard this song on television and such.
This one is really hard, cause music doesn't make me fall asleep... it actually keeps me awake. I listen to it and I start singing it in my head while I'm trying to sleep. Doesn't work.
So I'm going to change this one to: A song that you like to listen to when you're depressed...
Okay. So now it's just all my Glee music. It all makes me happy. I like listening to it. I know, I'm a freak. *shrugs* oh well. I kinda like being a freak.
But years ago there was one album that I always played when I was depressed. It's still one of my very favorites. The Dumb and Dumber soundtrack. LOVE IT!
so.. Enjoy Green Jelly and Bear Went Over The Mountain...
We're going into the way back machine to a song from High School.
Whenever I hear this song I think of my sister's best friend from High School, Jessica. I don't know if its even a song she listened to, or sang a lot, or even liked... but whenever I hear it I think of Jessica.
I know of one song that makes me sad when I hear it, and I've actually turned the station or turned off the radio when it is on. Good thing it is an older song and they don't play it much anymore. At least not on the station I listen to.
We lost a good friend when I was in 8th grade to suicide. He was in 9th grade and our next door neighbor. Every time I hear Wind Beneath My Wings I think of him and his funeral and it just makes me sad all over again. so... Here you go.
A song that makes me happy.... When asking mom about this she mentioned something like Bob Marley. I thought of that and it sounds like a good idea, but then I remembered something that makes me smile and happy every time I hear it, and that's cause I think of a little 7 year old who LOVES the song...
If you were to go to my iTunes and looked at the songs by the number of plays you would see what my favorite song of the moment is. The thing is. I don't think it's my very favorite song. And this month of blogging is going to be hard, because I LOVE music. I don't know if I could tell you what my very favorite song is. There are so many that I love to listen to, and so many that bring up different feelings. So this will be an experience for all of us.
My favorite music of the moment is from the television show Glee
It is actually embarrassing how much I listen to Glee. The top listened song is "Taking Chances", a cover of Celine Dion's song.
